Hi everyone! I've just set up the first single for the Morning Musume category, Morning Coffee. This one works a bit differently than Hello! no theme because there are actually solos up for grabs. HOWEVER! the solos are not given to the first auditioners or so, but we will attempt to distribute them to all singers equally. Keep in mind that if your microphone is extremely buzzy, extremely muffled, we'll do our best to filter out noise but you may not get a solo part if it still dosn't maintain a standard of clarity. We also try to alter pitch so your lines are all but slightly sharp or flat, we will also alter your pitch a bit and give you the solo too. Even if you don't get a solo, you will most likely sing with the group, like Hello! no theme with a 100% acceptance rate so far.

Since this piece works slightly differently, you will need to follow some guidelines and hopefully won't be as confused. When you submit your form, submission number is VERY IMPORTANT as that shows what the next person must sing. There are three groups that rotate, because Morning Coffee is a heavily layered song and we can't have everyone singing just the melody. As a result, the groups run in this order: red group (1), blue group (2), and green group (3). If you look at the lyrics page, you would understand.

A better explanation is:
If you are submission 1, you sing the red lines
If you are submission 2, you sing the blue lines
If you are submission 3, you sing the green lines
If you are submission 4, you sing the red lines
If you are submission 5, you sing the blue lines
and it rotates between the three parts over and over until auditions end.

I'll also explain the parts:
Red (group 1): The harmony group, with the most (6) solos of the three since they play a more supporting role
Blue (group 2): Has 5 solos and slightly lesser melody lines than green because of that.
Green (group 3): Has 4 solos and slightly more melody lines than blue to compensate.

Therefore, it runs in a cycle of harmony-melody-melody to get an even distribution at the end.
All highlighted/bolded words in the lyrics are solos. You should go ahead and sing them =]

I'm probably going to get some people who say that they have never done harmony in their life or so.
Here are some options to help facilitate the line submissions.
1.) YOU CANNOT submit lines for a blue/green spot if the line submission is stuck waiting for a red line submission
2.) YOU CAN wait until someone has submitted lines for the red group and nab one of the next spots.
3.) YOU CAN resing the right lines, as I noticed submissions have at least a few hours in between.
4.) YOU CAN download a reference of a red line submission and copy the notes and pitching if you have never done harmony before.

As for singing, I'd like to nab the red spots because I need to practice my harmonies...but I dunno when I'll be able to record DX

the underline is where the greens are, but they kind of overlap? in the lyrics file where it is bolded, are those solos? so should i just ignore the bold and only sing the regular green? ^^;

Hikki; <3 Aweshum! I still need to work on making the tags clearer.. hmm.. My video options could only get the video to that clarity level though.. Gotta try out some more video editing programs!

Michikosaki; Added to the list ^^ The line "watashi no omoi" is sung with the blue group. It's okay since there is minimal overlapping in that, so don't worry 'bout it ^^ And, you are correct: The bolded lines are indeed the solo parts that will be divided amongst the singers as well

boo; I would say.. spot reservation is discouraged, because if everyone reserved a spot and took time sending lines in, it is not only confusing, but some people might not even submit in the end o.o I hope you understand, so I would suggest maybe recording a part and jumping on the slot once it is free, or record 2 parts just in case if you're free to do that

are those the solos? if they are are the reserved?

The bolded/highlighted lines are indeed the solo parts that will be divided amongst the singers as well. The highlighting only shows up on one of my computers, but on the other, it shows bolding AND highlighting, so I did both just in case.

They aren't reserved, so you should go ahead and sing all the coloured words =]

Okies, just tried another computer and the lyrics finally downloaded ^^
I'mma start recording for blue now since lotsa people seem to want a red spot ^^

Ahh, I totally forgot to register until now xD But, I'm mainly wanting a green spot, so I'll just wait until it comes around. xD
