[Single 2] Summer Night Town - AUDITIONS OPEN [harmony ref is up!]

Hi all~ It's the first week of university here and my laptop has stopped responding to adobe photoshop. The video for Morning Coffee will be out by Jan 23/24 LATEST* The lyrics have all been gone through and solos have already been assigned so I'm ready to hop on it once I get home to my pc.

In the meantime, Aura will be organizing the dub for Ai no Tane which will end around mid/end of Feb. I'm gonna go ahead and get started with Summer Night Town.

Recording information: This follow suit with Morning Coffee. With MM's harmonizing pieces being the first few singles, once this is over, everyone won't be as confused with what lines they have to sing. There is harmony and melody overlap in this piece, so there are 4 groups. In essence, 2 harmony and 2 melody groups. The harmony is easier to distinguish in this piece (thank god) but the rules for morning coffee still apply here. However, I'll allow a little lenience with the line order.

Each group has 5 solos, so with 4 groups, the ideal number of lines is 20. The auditions end when that number is reached. Instead of recording and waiting for a colour spot to open, It shall work like this:

Spots 1-4 are free for all at the same time. If you want to record blue or purple, go for it.
Spots 5-8 are only open once spots 1-4 are filled. If 2,3,4 are filled but 1 is not, it must be filled before 5-8 open.
This way, people aren't waiting for a certain harmony or melody spot.
Once 5-8 are filled, 9-12 are next. And then 13-16, and finally 17-20 to complete the cast.

Lines that are yellow/bold are solos, so take care with those. Underlined lines are only present in the red and green group, which means they are harmony lines. They also have some melody lines, so that's only to distinguish which ones need to be harmonized.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO GREEN AND REDS: In the song, there are 2 layers of harmony with the DaiSUKI in DaiKirai/DaiKirai/DaiKirai/DaiSUKI
When you have a line like DaiKirai DaiKirai DaiKirai DaiSUKI, you sing the lower harmony, same as the DaiKirai's.
When you have a line like DaiKirai DaiKirai DaiKirai DaiSUKI, you sing the higher harmony, a 3rd higher than the melody.
Both examples are shown in the harmony file.

The harmony reference is not complete, but every harmony can be literally taken from any of the verses there. There's the instrumental version at first to show how it merges with the song, and after, there's the acapella version.

Summer Night Town is one of my favorites! But I suck at the harmony more than Morning Coffee XDD I'll try to learn it or wait for a part to come up for the normal lines.

the lines in bold represent solo lines throughout the song. The highlighted in yellow lines are the group's solo lines. Pretty much, sing everything in your group's colour for the most simplified method >w<

Maybe I'm just dumb because I have not looked at the lyrics yet, but aren't there parts in this song where there are two harmony lines going instead of just one? That's what I have the real trouble with when finding the pitch, when there are three pitches playing at the same time XDD

lol I noticed that too, but hopefully if it's open, some people can pick out either harmony lines and it'll be fine :3 If one of the harmonies are lacking, I was thinking of adding to it when I mix it. It's only in a couple DaiSUKI's as far as I know

I know MOST of the harmonies to this but those dang verse harmonies (the ones on like the doko demo ii kedo DRIVN' parts) are so hard to figure out (>.<)

I need help. I was recording the red lines, but my audicity is not working. It lets me record and all, but then it starts braking out. Does anyone know a recording program. I am so mad with audacity. I can't even record my lines right. :'(
